Description: Experience a two-day immersion pilgrimage into the heart of Christian Monastic practice by adopting a shared Rule of Life for the duration of the monastic retreat. In an immersive, spiritual retreat setting and drawing upon the core Christian practice of the Daily Office (praying the hours), you will be formed by individual and shared Christian spiritual practices in a daily cycle of prayer which includes silent, spoken, sung, and embodied prayers. What makes this monastic community unique is the commitment to a diverse and inclusive gathered community as a reflection of the Body of Christ in the world.

You will leave this retreat with:
-an experiential understanding of the daily rhythm of Monastic living (prayer, rest, study, work) including the Great Silence during the night-time ;

-engagement with the context of and practice of the Christian spiritual practices of pilgrimage, fasting (from electronic media & communication), Sabbath, lectio divina, Eucharist;

-the ability to translate the practices of this immersion pilgrimage and retreat into your daily living as non-monastic changemakers in the world.

Micro-Certificate:  This retreat may be taken on its own, or as part of the Micro-Certificate in Transformative Community Building.
