Advent Retreat – Saturday, December 12th, 2015 – from 9am to Noon
pop-up location: Fireside Room of the Plymouth Jazz & Justice Church, Oakland, CA
a 1/2 day retreat with Heart of Wisdom Monastery in the first week of Advent with time for solitude and renewal in diverse and inclusive community; learn or renew practices to keep you through this season led by Abbess Joellynn Monahan.  More information

Spiritual & Self-Care for Seminarians – August 31st, 2015

-a retreat day for new graduate students in Berkeley, CA including an afternoon session I’m leading on developing spiritual practices and self-care for sustainable religious leadership with a focus on surviving and thriving in seminary

Urban Monastic Retreat – July 31-Aug 3, 2015
Ralston White Retreat Center, Mill Valley, CA
I’m serving as Abbess for this Christian spiritual practice retreat: a pilgrimage into the Heart of Wisdom as part of a diverse and inclusive contemplative retreat weekend – join the retreat only or add additional workshops to earn a micro-certificate in Transformative Community BuildingOffered by the Heart of Wisdom Monastery in collaboration with the Center for Spiritual & Social Transformation as part of Pacific School of Religion‘s Summer Session.   More information
